C-VIRUS DILLY BAG
WI-RII-PI DARGO (COME BACK ALTOGETHER)
We hope you, your communities, and your families are safe and well. We encourage all of you to maintain physical distancing in the wake of the current COVID-19 crisis. The threat is increasing over the coming weeks and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people represent a particularly vulnerable group within the community. We wish you and your families all continued good health through diligently maintaining physical distancing. Our local Elders have requested that we develop a First Nations lead approach to COVID-19. Our approach consists of an online dilly bag filled with resources, by all communities, for all communities.
C-VIRUS DILLY BAG IS AN ONGOING COLLECTION OF RESOURCES FOR OUR SECTOR DURING COVID-19.
Now more than ever, it is important to wi-rii-pi dargo. Although we cannot participate in our simplest and most vital practice, to gather, we can come together online and maintain the significance of kinship by supporting one another and centring positivity. We hold a fortnightly online Gathering for local Meanjin (Brisbane) cultural arts communities, to participate please send us an email joella.warkill@blakdance.org.au. We have also gathered this list of useful links and we encourage you to contribute any information or resources you think might be suitable. Please email us if you have ideas for online activities or further questions admin@blakdance.org.au.
